Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver and coordinate patient care in a hospital setting. You will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, working with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.

The role requires nursing licensure in New York, CPR/BLS, ACLS or PALS, and a BSN-preferred path toward degree completion. You will participate in education, discharges, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BCLS, ACLS or PALS, required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and evaluates plan of care.
• Provides and/or delegates patient care according to plan of care and established protocols.
• Documents patient care and ensures timely charting.
• Provides patient education to patients and families.
• Participates in Quality Improvement processes.
• Participates in unit staff meetings and clinical conferences.
• Performs the responsibilities of charge nurse and preceptor as assigned.
• Performs related duties as required.
