Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Unity Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the GI - Endoscopy team. The role involves providing high-quality patient-centered care during GI and pulmonary procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies, while collaborating with physicians and nurses.

Shifts are 8- and 10-hour, rotating 7a-6:30p on weekdays with on-call requirements; Per Diem hours and orientation exist, with full-time orientation noted.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required).
• RN license in New York State (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient.
• Communicates assessments to the interdisciplinary team and documents care.
• Develops and documents a plan of care tailored to patient needs.
• Follows policies on safety, medication administration and documentation.
• Completes CRU form with a recent US research article.
• Completes 5 nationally approved contact hours per year.
• Completes mandatory in-services and health screens timely.
• Maintains BLS certification.

Education

AS: Nursing (Required)

Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
