Job summary

MNGI Digestive Health in Eagan, MN is seeking a registered nurse to join our Endoscopy Center team. As an RN, you will record patient histories, assist physicians during endoscopy, perform INR and glucose tests, and maintain thorough EHR documentation.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage, patient education, and post-procedure care. Required RN license in Minnesota with BLS; GI experience and PACU exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• One to two years of clinical experience is preferred.
• GI related experience is preferred.
• Experience using an Electronic Health Record is required.
• PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical history and assessment.
• Perform INR and glucose testing.
• Prepare patients for and assist physician in endoscopy procedures.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records in the electronic health record.
• Recovery of sedated patients and discharge assessments.
• Monitor all aspects of patient care, anticipate patient and physician needs.
• Instruct individuals and families on health education and disease prevention.
• Infusion and injection administration.
• Responding to patient calls while on call (evening, weekend or holiday).
