Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Endoscopy department. This full-time role covers weekend requirements and includes 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) with day shift hours 0715-1745.

The nurse applies policies and coordinates care with the healthcare team, completes physician and nursing orders, and supports discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher nursing degree required at hire; Bachelor's in nursing within 5 years.
• Kentucky RN license required upon hire; BLS within 45 days; ACLS within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and monitor plans; communicate patient condition.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge planning needs with patient and family; coordinate with healthcare team.
• Provide education tailored to age, culture, and willingness to learn.
• Perform duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
