Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate care for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, emphasizing safety and patient experience.

You will assess patients, prep for procedures, administer medications and moderate sedation, and monitor responses while collaborating with physicians, anesthesia, and the nursing team. On-site with on-call and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• Endoscopy or procedural nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures.
• Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Administer medications and moderate sedation per policy and orders.
• Monitor patient status and responses during procedures and recovery.
• Assist physicians and the procedural team during endoscopic interventions.
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, prep, recovery, and discharge.
• Coordinate care with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support infection prevention, patient safety, and quality initiatives.
• Promote exceptional patient experiences through compassionate, patient-centered care.
