Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking a registered nurse to join our clinical team in a dynamic hospital setting. You will assess patients, administer medications, and coordinate complex care plans with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Ideal candidates will possess an accredited nursing degree, TN RN licensure upon hire, and BLS/CPR certification. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with a patient-first mindset and strong time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license for TN, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in conditions.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effects.
• Manage complex care plans and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrate urgency and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Assist patients to understand illness and lifestyle impacts (diet, activity, smoking, weight).
• Assess learning needs and tailor education to patient readiness.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Every day you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage complex care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adapting to rapidly changing needs in a fast-paced environment.

• Skilled performance in extreme life threatening emergencies.
• Prioritizing, coordinating, and meeting multiple patient needs and requests in a timely manner.
• Anticipating and preventing periods of extreme workload within a shift as evidenced by good time management and organizational skills.
• Detection and documentation of significant changes in a patient’s condition.
• Assist patients to understand their illness and the effects of lifestyle including diet, activity, smoking and weight loss.
• Assess and evaluates a patient’s readiness to learn, and consider factors affecting a patient’s learning ability and knowledge level.
