Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in New York, NY, is seeking a Day Shift RN for the Endoscopy unit. Responsibilities include planning, directing and evaluating patient care using the nursing process, with collaboration across disciplines on the assigned unit.

Requirement: NYS RN registration, Diploma and Licensure, BSN; BLS/ACLS/PALS; 3–4 years Endoscopy and ICU experience; PACU and SGNA preferred. Weekend Saturday shifts for Pain Clinic may occur.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current registration in New York State as an RN, Diploma and Licensure required.
• BSN required.
• BLS, ACLS & PALS certification required.
• 3-4 years Endoscopy experience preferred.
• ICU experience required.
• PACU experience preferred.
• SGNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with all other disciplines on the assigned unit.
• Endoscopy unit care: admissions, procedure, recovery for GI patients, ECT patients and occasional bone marrow patients; occasional Saturday shift for Pain Clinic.
