Job summary

Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, NY, is seeking an RN for PACU in the Endoscopy unit. The role uses nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care, with a once-monthly Saturday shift for the Pain Clinic.

Requirements include New York RN licensure, BSN, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. ICU and PACU experience preferred; SGNA certification is a plus. Excellent organization and communication skills are essential for a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current registration in New York State as an RN; Diploma and Licensure required.
• BSN required.
• BLS, ACLS & PALS certification required.
• 3-4 years Endoscopy experience preferred.
• ICU experience required.
• PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing process to plan, implement, direct and evaluate patient care.
• Works collaboratively with all other disciplines on assigned unit.
• Endoscopy unit admissions, procedure, recovery for GI patients, ECT patients, and occasional bone marrow patients.
• Once monthly Saturday shift for Pain Clinic.
