Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. Lexington Endoscopy suite is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to help build a new team, interview and hire staff, and partner with BIDMC Endoscopy for staff training and onboarding.

You will establish competencies and coordinate patient care and clinical processes across disciplines under the direction of the Nursing Director, ensuring quality nursing care for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• License Registered Nurse required, and Basic Life Support required.
• 3-5 years related work experience required and 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with computer systems including MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the department including patient volume and acuity, critical care needs, throughput, staff and physician concerns.
• Provides clinical consultation to nurses or directs them to other resources.
• Communicates changes in nursing practice and standards of care, including competency development.
• Collaborates across departments to ensure seamless progression of care.
• Leads hiring for RNs and support staff, completes annual reviews, and oversees scheduling and payroll.
