Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy unit. The RN will be accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient-care tasks, supervising other staff, coordinating care for a group of patients, and consulting with the health-care team as indicated during pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases.

The nurse will provide circulating and/or scrub services in the Endoscopy room during GI and pulmonary procedures and assist the endoscopy

Qualifications

• Active RN license or eligible to practice in WV.
• Endoscopy or perioperative experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate patient-care tasks and supervise other patient-care staff.
• Coordinate care for a group of patients and consult with the health-care team as needed.
• Provide care during pre-, intra- and post-procedure phases of endoscopy and/or pulmonary procedures.
• Circulate and/or scrub in the Endoscopy room during GI and pulmonary procedures and assist the endoscopy team as needed.

The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.

The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated. The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for the excellent care of the patient pre-, intra and post-procedure during endoscopy and/or pulmonary procedures. He/she also provides circulating and/or scrub services in the Endoscopy room during Gastrointestinal and Pulmonary procedures and assists the endoscopy team as needed in any other capacities, according to established procedures.

The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
