Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the Endoscopy Center at Smith Northview Campus. The role involves assisting with procedures, patient preparation and recovery, and maintaining equipment used by the Endoscopy Center staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience as an Endoscopy Technician or Scrub Technician and certification. The position is full-time with call, located at SNH GI Lab.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Endoscopic Technician or Scrub Technician experience preferred.
• Endoscopy Technician certification preferred.
• Ability to read and write, perform simple calculations, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Pleasant, warm, and caring; able to communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all endoscopic procedures performed by Endoscopy Center staff.
• Assists in preparation and recovery of patients’ procedures.
• Assists in maintaining all equipment used by Endoscopy Center staff.
• May be required to work multiple campuses.
• Supports the values, goals, and policies and procedures of South Georgia Medical Center.
