Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Endoscopy GI nurse for Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital to join the Endoscopy GI department. The role is PRN / Days with responsibilities across ordering, patient condition monitoring, and coordinating care with the healthcare team.

The successful candidate will hold an RN license (WI or multi-state), a nursing diploma, and a BLS certification within 30 days. Endoscopy/GI experience is preferred. Retirement and employee assistance benefits are included.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider must be obtained within 30 days of hire. (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire or transfer date. Licensure from Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Track, record, and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Serve as the primary coordinator across healthcare teams for seamless patient care.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs with the healthcare team.
