Job summary

Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois is seeking a nurse to help manage Endoscopy equipment and supplies, assist doctors during GI procedures, and collaborate with other departments to control costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role is 40 hours per week, day shifts, in Rockford, IL, with a focus on equipment evaluation, restocking, and direct intra-procedure support.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent preferred.
• Active CNA registry or LPN license preferred.
• CPR certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Serves as resource person for Endoscopy equipment used.
• Evaluates new equipment, orders and restocks supplies.
• Checks schedule for specific supplies as requested by physicians/Lead RN.
• Works with Materials to control costs.
• Independently assists physician procedures in GI and interventional GI cases.
• Communicates equipment problems to appropriate departments.
• Participates in Quality Management program, standards, policies and procedures.
