Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse Manager to supervise staff and ensure daily smooth case flow within the Endoscopy Suite.

The role requires 3 years of Endoscopy experience, Florida RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. You will coordinate scheduling, collaborate with physicians, and lead educational in-services while working closely with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Florida RN license must be current.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• 3 years experience in Endoscopy.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Endoscopy staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
• Assists in coordination of daily case scheduling in the Endoscopy Suite with other staff to ensure schedule will flow smoothly.
• Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.
• Assists with education by coordinating and/or giving in-services.
• Prepare schedules in the afternoon for next day.
• Supervise for case completions of the day and setting up for the next day.
• Communicate with physicians to resolve equipment or instrument issues by coordinating ordering or getting repairs done.
• Works closely with Materials and Sterile Processing Dept to coordinate supplies & instrument needs.
• Preparing and administering annual evaluations
• Works closely with manager with hiring and orienting staff members
• Helps in revising and preparing policies that relate to Endoscopy functions
• Assistance in maintaining compliance for AAAHC surveys
• Assistance with staff counseling as necessary
• Coordinates and assists in Performance Improvement Projects.
