Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks an Endoscopy Associate to provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse and attending physician. The role supports GI procedures and infection control as part of the GI team in New York.

The candidate should have HS/GED and preferably college science coursework, with certification in endoscope reprocessing and Heartsaver CPR. On-site training is provided, with growth in a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• College courses in sciences preferred.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with endoscopic clinical procedures preferred.
• Successful completion of on-site preparation program or job training.
• Certification: Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor. Must be certified within six months of hire.
• Certification: Heartsaver Issuing Agency: American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Performs and records patient vital signs and data.
• Sets up equipment for procedures and assists physician and RN.
• Maintains sterile technique and infection control logs.
• Cleans and disinfects equipment per guidelines.
• Maintains inventory and requisitions supplies as needed.
• Performs other related duties as required.
