Texas Health Huguley operates as a joint venture between Texas Health Resources and AdventHealth.

Schedule: PRN

Shift: Day Shift – 7 am to 3 pm, rotating

Pay: $45/hr

On Call: 1 day and 1 weekend shift per month, with pay of $4.00/hr; this requirement may lessen as we hire. Call required, so live within a 30-minute radius.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Endoscopy RN practices as a professional nurse within the limits of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, assuming responsibility and accountability for the care given to patients in the Endoscopy Lab. Utilizes skills, knowledge, and nursing processes to ensure quality care, in harmony with the philosophy, goals, and policies of the Nursing Department and hospital administration. Assists physicians with all procedures in Endoscopy. Cleans equipment and orders supplies and equipment needed.

• Provides safe care through assessment, identification, and prioritization of patient needs during endoscopic/laser treatments.
• Reviews chart for signed consent and physician’s orders before transporting patients.
• Assesses patient status before and after procedures via vital signs, heart rate monitor, and pulse oximeter documentation in i-Connect.
• Recognizes significant changes in patient condition and takes appropriate action.
• Follows proper body mechanics and ensures safety and security during patient transport.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• BSN from an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN license in Texas or a qualifying compact state.
• Experience in endoscopy and bronchoscopy intra-procedure care.
