Job summary

Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA is seeking an Endoscopic Technician to support the Endoscopy Service under the supervision of the Endoscopy Nurse Manager. This is a full-time, 10-hour day shift position.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, room turnover, stocking supplies, reporting maintenance needs, and performing clerical duties as needed. A strong team focus and commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in endoscopy or surgical scrubbing preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Relevant certifications preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopy procedures as directed by the Endoscopy team.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and prepare rooms for procedures.
• Turnover rooms, stock supplies, and report maintenance needs.
• Perform clerical duties as needed by the Endoscopy Service.

Endoscopic Technician - Endoscopy at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 10-hour, Day shifts.

Working under the supervision of the Endoscopy Nurse Manager and Endoscopy RN, the technician provides assistance or support in all activities of the Endoscopy Service. These duties include but are not limited to, assisting with procedures, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, room clean- up and turn around, ordering and stocking supplies, reporting the need for maintenance of equipment, and clerical duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Upon hire: Current Surgical-OR Tech certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Upon hire: Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).
• GI/Endoscopy tech experience or surgical scrub tech experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
