Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange is seeking an Endoscopic Technician in Orange, CA. Positions available include Part-Time and Per Diem with 10-hour shifts; schedule discussed during interview.

You will assist in procedures, disinfect equipment, and manage room turnover while supporting the Endoscopy Service under leadership. We value Magnet-recognized care and a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required upon hire.
• NBSTSA Surgical-OR Tech certification preferred.
• CFER certification preferred.
• GI/Endoscopy tech experience or surgical scrub tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopy procedures and room turnover.
• Clean and disinfect equipment and prepare supplies.
• Order, stock and maintain supplies; report equipment maintenance needs.
• Perform minor clerical duties as needed.

Job description

Endoscopic Technician at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. Positions available are Part-Time and Per Diem and may include Day and Variable shifts. You will work 10-hour shifts in this role. Schedule options can be discussed during interview. Working under the supervision of the Endoscopy Nurse Manager and Endoscopy RN, the technician provides assistance or support in all activities of the Endoscopy Service. These duties include but are not limited to, assisting with procedures, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, room clean- up and turn around, ordering and stocking supplies, reporting the need for maintenance of equipment, and clerical duties as needed. Required Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Upon hire: Current Surgical-OR Tech certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Upon hire: Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).
• GI/Endoscopy tech experience or surgical scrub tech experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
