Job summary

Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA seeks a GI Technician to assist physicians and nurses during endoscopy and related procedures. You will be responsible for cleaning, processing, and caring for scopes and instrumentation, and helping with patient flow, room turnover, stocking, and clerical tasks.

The role supports a team delivering patient-focused, whole-person care with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Description

Under the leadership of the Department Manager and the supervision of the Nurse Manager for Endoscopy and Medical Procedures, the GI technician will through the utilization of specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified physician perform procedures on patients. This is a highly technical position assisting the MD and registered nurse during procedures. Technician is responsible for cleaning, processing and caring of scopes and other instrumentation. The Endoscopy Technician assists with the responsibility for patient flow, room turnover, stocking rooms, ordering supplies, answering phones, and performing a variety of clerical tasks.

Required Qualifications:
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • GI Tech experience.
  • Endoscopy/Medical Procedures experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
