Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a clinically competent Endoscope Reprocessing Tech to support perioperative care under RN supervision. You will help deliver safe patient care, maintain a clean environment, and participate in quality improvement efforts.

The role requires ability to follow protocols, strong communication with patients and staff, and a commitment to ongoing competencies. Shift is an 8-hour day, with on-call every 4th weekend and rotating holidays as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical terminology knowledge; proficient in English; verbal and written communication skills.
• CPR – Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers.
• Uses effective service recovery skills to solve problems or service breakdowns when they occur.
• Uses organizational and unit/department resources efficiently.
• Manages work schedule efficiently, completing tasks and assignments on time.
• Contributes to opportunities and processes for continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with the RN to assist in addressing patient safety and legal issues.
