Requirements

Before applying, you must meet the state requirements outlined below.

• Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
• Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).
• Georgia: CPR Certification, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification preferred, and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.
• Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training to expose X‑rays, BORID certification and annual CE requirements must be completed per state regulations.
• Michigan: Upon hiring, you are required to furnish evidence of X‑ray training certification. If you do not possess certification at the time of hiring, you are granted an 8‑week period to submit it.
• New Jersey: Proof of X‑ray training.
• New York: Not applicable.
• Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).
• Texas: CPR Certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
