Job summary

The Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry invites applications for an Assistant Professor, Endodontics. The faculty member will contribute to predoctoral and graduate endodontics education, clinical oversight, and scholarly activity within the Endodontology division.

Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching, program leadership, and participation in professional service and community outreach, reporting to the Division Head. Regular full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• D.D.S. or D.M.D. from a CODA accredited school or equivalent.
• Completion of advanced education program in Endodontics from a CODA accredited program.
• Board Certification in Endodontics (preferred but not required).
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Oregon Dental License or a Faculty License.
• Nitrous oxide or minimal sedation certification preferred.
• BLS from AHA required; onboarding will include training.
• Experience in management of a private endodontic practice preferred.
• Experience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participation and collaboration in the education of predoctoral students didactically and clinically.
• Education of residents in the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics in accordance with the Program Director and Division Head.
• Collaboration with colleagues across divisions and specialties to promote interprofessional development in endodontics.
• Establishment and maintenance of a program of scholarly activity.
• Participation in department and school support activities and committees.
• Engagement in professional organizations for professional development.
• Community outreach providing service in support of professional development and community need.
• Public service through lecturing or teaching outside of OHSU with proper consent.
