Job summary

Seitzingerandshields is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support endodontists twice a week in a welcoming, professional clinical setting. You will help maintain a safe environment, ensure patient comfort, and contribute to exceptional care.

Duties include assisting during endodontic procedures, preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, capturing X-rays, documenting patient information, and performing software-based administrative tasks while upholding HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program is a plus but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based tasks.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during a variety of endodontic procedures to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
• Greet patients and guide them through their treatment experience, making them feel at ease.
• Sterilize, maintain, and organize instruments while preparing treatment rooms according to strict protocols.
• Capture high quality, diagnostic dental X-rays and scans as needed.
• Accurately document patient information and chart notes.
• Perform administrative office tasks using a computer and dental software.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
