Job summary

Dental Specialty Center of Virginia Beach is seeking an Endodontic Assistant in Virginia Beach, VA to support our clinical team with high-quality patient care in a team-based environment. The ideal candidate has at least six months of dental assisting experience, X-ray certification, and a commitment to OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training.

Qualifications

• Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
