Job summary

The University of Arizona is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator I for the Division of Endocrinology in Tucson. This role supports lab operations and research focusing on hormonal regulation of pancreatic islets and gestational diabetes, under supervision of the Laboratory Operations Manager and PI.

Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, procurement coordination, and collaboration with researchers to ensure compliant execution of studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent learning/experience required.
• Up to one year of relevant work experience is required.
• Experience with cell culture, microscopy, RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, or Western blotting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing the laboratory for research activities and technical experiments.
• Support metabolic studies and tissue collection/processing from mice.
• Aid data collection and entry to promote timely results and data integrity.
• Coordinate day-to-day study activities and communicate project status to PI and team.
• Maintain and organize research data in spreadsheets and databases.
• Keep laboratory records, SOPs, and documentation compliant with policies.
