Endocrinologist Opportunity in San Antonio, TX

Position Summary:

The clinic is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. This role will serve a community with high demand for endocrinology services, particularly diabetes management, with an estimated 220,000 diabetics in the area and a shortage of specialists.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver comprehensive endocrinology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  2. Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to improve patient outcomes.
  3. Manage a diverse caseload including diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, and other endocrine conditions.
  4. Develop individualized evaluation, diagnostic, and treatment plans.
  5. Educate patients and families on disease management, lifestyle changes, and medication compliance.
  6. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.
  7. Stay current on endocrinology advancements and best practices through ongoing education.
Requirements:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution and board certification in Endocrinology.
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Texas.
  • Strong clinical skills, dedication to patient-centered care, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Prior experience managing a high-volume patient caseload is preferred.
