Job description

Endocrinologist - diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses of disorders that affect the endocrine system, including but not limited to diabetes, thyroid diseases, menopause, pituitary disease, etc. Examine patients, take medical histories, prescribe medications, and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.

General job duties include:

1. Document and update charts and patient information to show findings and treatments
2. Order tests and consultations for other physicians or healthcare staff to perform
3. Review test results to identify abnormal findings
4. Recommend, design, and implement a long-term treatment plan
5. Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being
6. Help patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygiene
7. Manage the delivery of services in accordance with established clinic policies and procedures, as well as contracted services under programs like CHDP, Managed Medical Care, and others.

Required Education/Experience and/or Licensure/Certifications

• Working knowledge of e-prescriptions
• Active California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.)
• Board Eligible or Certified
• Current BLS Certification
• CPR Card (Adult, Child, and Infant)
• Medi-Cal & Medi-Care Provider

Salary range: $250,000 - $350,000 USD
