Job description

We are an established medical practice serving Indianapolis and the surrounding area, specializing in evaluations of patients with swallowing disorders. We are currently seeking additional physicians to join our team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and physicians with various levels of experience are encouraged to apply. During training, physicians will be compensated.

About Our Practice

The practice is part of a network with sister practices in New England and Texas. Professional Imaging was founded in Houston in March 2005 and has since expanded across eastern Texas. Our monthly patient census is approximately 2,300, supported by a staff of 70, including physicians, speech-language pathologists, and support staff.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual income for working 4 to 5 days per week ranges from approximately $160,000 to $225,000 or more, depending on volume.
• Health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and educational stipends are available.
• No weekend or night call responsibilities.
• Malpractice insurance and tail coverage are paid by the practice.

Our Mission and Services

Midwest Dysphagia Consultants aims to provide professional dysphagia consultations, including modified barium swallow studies, utilizing a mobile unit as shown on our website.

Work Environment and Scheduling

Physicians and speech-language pathologists request swallowing studies from our mobile unit at various facilities, private offices, and for homebound patients. Requests are routed through our staff and scheduled within 24 to 72 hours, often on the same day, depending on volume and location. Our goal is for staff to be home by 4:00 or 5:00 PM daily.
