Job summary

BAS HealthCare is seeking an Advanced Practitioner for inpatient endocrinology in Hartford, CT. The role supports medication management, education, and discharge planning within the Department of Medicine - Endocrinology.

The position is per diem with a minimum of 2 weekends per month, 5–10 hour shifts, and no call requirements. ACLS/BLS credentials preferred; CT license or eligible required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in endocrinology.
• Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or be eligible).
• Open to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient diabetes and complex endocrinology across service lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for treatment and discharge planning.
• Develop medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans within protocols.
• Provide appropriate care with defined scope of practice per established protocols.

Job Details:

• Manage inpatient diabetes and complex endocrinology populations across all service lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for implementation of treatment and discharge planning
• Open to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners
• Setting: Inpatient, Department of Medicine - Endocrinology
• Per diem schedule requiring minimum 2 weekends per month, with shifts of 5-10 hours
• Schedule flexibility required during onboarding and training period
• No call requirements
• Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or be eligible)
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in an endocrinology setting required
• Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial treatment plans
• Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to specialists and care team members
• Provide appropriate treatment within defined scope of practice per established protocols
