Job summary
NYU Grossman School of Medicine in Brooklyn Heights seeks a Nurse Practitioner in Endocrinology to provide comprehensive nursing care within a collaborative practice, under a physician’s supervision, for both inpatient and outpatient populations. Candidates must hold NY RN and NP licenses, a Master’s in Nursing, and BLS certification;
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in New York (RN).
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in New York (NP).
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
- Board certification or ANCC certification for NP specialty (eligible after graduation).
Responsibilities
- Plans and organizes care to meet patient needs per protocols and pathways.
- Monitors and trends cost effectiveness and service performance.
- Assists in research protocols and clinical studies.
- Collaborates with nursing and other disciplines to implement care plans.
- Prescribes medications and therapies per NYS laws and privileges.
- Maintains current expertise and promotes professional growth.
- Provides education and serves as a resource for peers and staff.
