Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in Medical Assistant or diploma program preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document reason for visit and patient vital signs.
• Collect specimens and log them before lab transport.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure setup.
• Assist with vaccines/medications under supervision as qualified.
• Document prescriptions and refills per protocol.
• Maintain patient flow and assist with office duties.
• Enter data into the EHR and protect patient confidentiality.
