Job summary

Heritage-Valley-Health-System in Monaca, PA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (Endocrinology) to room patients, take vital signs, review medication lists and histories, collect specimens, and perform basic lab tests under the direction of the provider.

The role includes administering injections, handling administrative duties such as ordering supplies, updating medical records, obtaining referrals, and scheduling appointments. Daylight hours, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA).
• CPR Certification; Computer experience; successful completion of required clearances within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and collects vital signs; reviews medication lists and medical/social history.
• Collects specimens and performs basic laboratory tests; administers injections and medications as directed by the provider.
• Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating/maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals/authorizations and scheduling appointments.
