Job summary

The Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) provides health care services in the clinic setting to department-specific patients. The NP/PA administers patient care and practices prescriptive authority in accordance with Minnesota State Law and the standards set by the Board of Directors of Stillwater Medical Group.

The NP/PA will work closely with all physicians in the Department in order to ensure continuity of care and will be assigned a physician mentor who

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program with MS degree or physician assistant program.
• Current Minnesota license as RN with APN recognition or PA license.
• NP/PA certification relevant to endocrinology or advanced practice.
• Current DEA license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinic-based patient care in endocrinology to assigned patients.
• Document and code services accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure continuity of care and care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care.
• May share weekend hours and on-call duties as assigned.
