Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an endocrine physician to join our Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in Worcester. The role focuses on outpatient diabetes care within a collaborative, academic environment at the UMass Chan Medical School.

The position offers teaching opportunities, involvement in clinical research, and access to a Diabetes Center of Excellence. Satellite clinics and a strong team provide comprehensive patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology.
• MD or DO degree required; MA license.
• Interest in academic teaching and clinical research.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient endocrinology and diabetes care across Worcester and satellite sites.
• Teach and supervise fellows in outpatient settings.
• Engage in academic teaching and potential teaching appointments.
• Participate in thyroid, obesity, and metabolic clinics as needed.

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at UMass Memorial Medical Center and UMass Chan Medical School is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Endocrinologist to join our thriving team. This position is based in an outpatient setting with a focus on diabetes care. • Collaborative Environment : Join an experienced and supportive team of 23 Faculty Members, 16 Advanced Practice Providers, 5 Fellows, and 6 Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists.
• Focus on Excellence : Be a part of our Diabetes Center of Excellence, which is renowned for delivering patient-centered, team-based diabetes care. You will also have the opportunity to participate in specialized clinics for thyroid, bone, neuroendocrine disorders, and obesity.
• Clinical Variety: Provide care across a range of settings, including our main location in Worcester and satellite locations at HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster and Tri-River Family Health Center in Uxbridge. Our services also include an authorized Thyroid Center, Metabolic Weight Loss Center, Metabolic Bone Center, and general endocrine services.
• Academic and Teaching Opportunities: Engage in teaching and supervision of fellows in outpatient settings, with a focus on diabetes management and common endocrine disorders. Academic appointment at UMass Chan Medical School available, with teaching opportunities and educational offsets.

Qualifications:
