Job summary

UPMC Central Pa, a growing health care system in south central Pennsylvania, seeks an Adult Endocrinologist for outpatient practice focused on diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis, and menopause. You will join a multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive, high-quality care in a collaborative setting.

The role includes developing advanced thyroid diagnostics, supporting diabetes management programs with pumps and CGM, and engaging in future clinical research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
• Endocrinology Fellowship completed.
• Eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient endocrine care for diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis and menopause.
• Support the strong outpatient diabetes program with pumps, CGM, and education.
• Develop state-of-the-art thyroid disease treatment with in-office ultrasound and biopsies.
• Collaborate with the infusion center for endocrine testing in the outpatient setting.
• Contribute to osteoporosis and fracture prevention program and potential clinical research.

Opportunity

• Physician is part of the care team who provides telephone consult for the inpatient nurse practitioner for guidance and care discussion.
• Strong outpatient diabetes program with support for pumps, CGM, and education
• Help develop state-of-the-art technology for treating thyroid diseases including in-office thyroid ultrasound and biopsies
• Strong relationship with infusion center for endocrine testing and testing in the outpatient practice
• Osteoporosis and fracture prevention program
• Opportunities for future clinical research

Professional Skills
