Job summary

UPMC Central Pa is seeking an Adult Endocrinologist for its growing multisite health system in south central Pennsylvania. The outpatient practice specializes in diabetes, thyroid, pituitary, osteoporosis, and menopause.

You will join a team providing telephone consults for inpatient nurse practitioners, support for pumps and CGM, in-office thyroid ultrasound and biopsies, and collaborative endocrine testing.

Qualifications

• Board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
• Endocrinology Fellowship.
• Eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Endocrinology fellowship graduates considered for candidacy.
• Team oriented with ability to provide personalized patient care and demonstrate clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone consults for inpatient nurse practitioners for guidance and care discussions.
• Support strong outpatient diabetes program with pumps, CGM, and education.
• Develop state-of-the-art thyroid treatment including in-office ultrasound and biopsies.

• Physician is part of the care team who provides telephone consult for the inpatient nurse practitioner for guidance and care discussion.
• Strong outpatient diabetes program with support for pumps, CGM, and education
• Help develop state-of-the-art technology for treating thyroid diseases including in-office thyroid ultrasound and biopsies
• Strong relationship with infusion center for endocrine testing and testing in the outpatient practice
• Osteoporosis and fracture prevention program
• Opportunities for future clinical research
