Job summary

Mercor is hiring board-certified endocrinologists (MDs and DOs) to evaluate health AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will read de-identified patient charts and judge AI answers to clinical questions in endocrinology.

Key responsibilities include evaluating AI outputs for clinical accuracy and safety, checking recommendations against charts, selecting the stronger response, and writing structured rationales. This remote, hourly, part-time role starts immediately.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified in ABIM Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism or ABMS/AOA equivalent.
• Active, unrestricted US medical license with residency and fellowship completed.
• Currently practicing in the US with ≥1 year of independent practice.
• 3+ years post-training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI answers to endocrinology questions for accuracy and safety.
• Check AI responses against patient charts and determine the stronger reply.
• Write structured rationales on clinical rigor and clarity.
• Flag errors that could impact patient safety.

• Check each answer against the patient chart and decide which of two responses is stronger
• Write structured rationales on clinical rigor, completeness and clarity
• Flag errors that could compromise patient safety

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board certified in ABIM Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism through an ABMS member board or the AOA
• Active, unrestricted US medical licenseResidency complete, plus fellowship where your specialty requires one
• Currently practicing and seeing patients in the US, with at least 1 year of independent practice after training
• 3+ years of post-training experience strongly preferred
• Clear written communication and close attention to detail
