Job summary

El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a dedicated Endocrinologist to join our outpatient-focused specialty team in California. The physician will provide evidence-based care for diverse endocrine disorders and collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to improve outcomes across the network.

Responsibilities include managing diabetes with CGM and insulin pump therapy, interpreting complex tests, and developing individualized treatment plans.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
• DEA license is required.
• California State Medical license is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic endocrine disorders.
• Interpret and manage diagnostic testing including hormone panels and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans per guidelines.
• Provide patient education on disease management and medications.
• Collaborate with PCPs, diabetes educators, and specialists for coordinated care.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment for best results and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation in EPIC.
• Participate in quality improvement and protocol development.

Job description

El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Endocrinologist to join our growing specialty team. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders in an outpatient-focused setting. The Endocrinologist will work collaboratively with primary care providers and specialists to deliver high-quality care, improve chronic disease outcomes, and support continued program growth across the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic endocrine disorders (e.g., diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders)
• Interpret and manage complex diagnostic testing, including hormone panels, dynamic endocrine testing, and imaging studies
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with evidence-based guidelines
• Manage complex diabetes care, including insulin regimens, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and insulin pump therapy
• Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, diabetes educators, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans to optimize clinical results and patient satisfaction
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, EPIC
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and best practices

Qualifications
