Job summary

El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking an experienced Endocrinologist to join our outpatient specialty team. You will evaluate and treat a broad range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis, and pituitary conditions, in a patient-centered setting.

You will collaborate with primary care and subspecialists, manage complex diabetes care with CGM and pumps, and participate in program growth and quality initiatives across the network.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification/eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism.
• Active California medical license and DEA registration.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic endocrine disorders.
• Interpret hormone panels and imaging studies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Manage diabetes care including CGM and insulin pumps.
• Educate patients on disease management and adherence.
• Collaborate with PCPs, educators, dietitians, and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation (EPIC).
• Participate in quality improvement and protocol development.

Job description

El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Endocrinologist to join our growing specialty team. This role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders in an outpatient-focused setting. The Endocrinologist will work collaboratively with primary care providers and specialists to deliver high-quality care, improve chronic disease outcomes, and support continued program growth across the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic endocrine disorders (e.g., diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders)
• Interpret and manage complex diagnostic testing, including hormone panels, dynamic endocrine testing, and imaging studies
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with evidence-based guidelines
• Manage complex diabetes care, including insulin regimens, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and insulin pump therapy
• Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, diabetes educators, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans to optimize clinical results and patient satisfaction
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, EPIC
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and best practices

Qualifications

• Strong clinical, procedural, and communication skills
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care

Preferred Skills

• Experience in outpatient endocrinology practice
• Expertise in diabetes management, including advanced technologies (CGM, insulin pumps)
• Interest in program development, population health, and quality improvement initiatives
