Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Develop individualized diabetes management plans involving technology.
• Educate patients on disease processes and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate transitions of care and provide longitudinal follow-up.
• Work closely with primary care, surgery, oncology, obstetrics, and other teams.
• Educate patients on disease processes, lifestyle modifications, and medication use.
• Participate in quality initiatives and ensure safe prescribing and monitoring of therapies.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation and comply with bylaws.

Endocrinologist

Job Overview:

The Endocrinologist evaluates and manages disorders of the endocrine system,including diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal and pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and lipid disorders. The role emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnoseand manage endocrine disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Develop individualized diabetes management plans, including technology (CGM/insulin pumps) where applicable.
• Interpret endocrine laboratory and imaging results; perform thyroid ultrasound and FNA if privileged.
• Coordinate transitions of care and provide longitudinal follow-up.
• Work closely with primary care, surgery, oncology, obstetrics, and other teams.
• Educate patients on disease processes, lifestyle modifications, and medication use.

Quality & Safety:

• Participate in quality initiatives (e.g., glycemic control, hypoglycemia prevention).
• Ensure safe prescribing and monitoring of endocrine therapies.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintainaccurate,timelyEHR documentation.
• Comply withmedical staff bylaws and applicable regulations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods in clinic and hospital settings.

• Use of PPE asrequired.
