The Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Surgery Division, is seeking an open-rank faculty member for the Division of Surgical Oncology with emphasis on Endocrine Surgery. The position supports teaching residents, fellows, and medical students while advancing clinical and translational research in endocrine oncology.

Qualifications

Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
Advanced training fellowship in Endocrine Surgery or Surgical Oncology.
Commitment to Outcomes, Clinical and/or Basic Science Research.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Responsibilities

Teaching Surgical Oncology with an emphasis on Endocrine Surgery.
Participate in clinical and/or basic science research relevant to Endocrine Surgery.
Develop interdisciplinary collaborations within VCU’s Massey Cancer Center, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology to achieve goals.
Service on University and Departmental committees and assist with recruitment, training and placement of Residents and Fellows.
