Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. seeks Advanced Practitioners in Endocrine Surgery in Bridgeport, CT to support a growing program alongside an experienced endocrine surgeon, assisting in surgeries and providing clinical care.

The role includes new patient consults, preoperative evaluations, and comprehensive perioperative management, with ongoing patient education and collaborative team engagement. Weekday schedule; licensure and board cert required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Connecticut APRN or PA license or eligibility for licensure.
• National board certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical first-assist in endocrine surgery.
• Conduct new patient consultations and preoperative evaluations.
• Perform histories, physical examinations, and treatment planning with the surgeon.
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient management.
• Review labs, imaging, pathology, and communicate findings to patients and the care team.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development.
