Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Strongsville Family Health and Surgery Center is seeking a caregiver/medical assistant to join a patient-focused team. You will perform screenings, gather health information, update medication and allergy records, collect specimens, assist with treatments, and document patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities also include monitoring patient conditions, maintaining exam rooms and equipment, and handling clerical tasks such as scheduling and data entry.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved medical assisting program or military training as HM/68W/4N0X1.
• Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association; if not held, obtain during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating health information, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
• Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration.
