Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a full-time Advance Practice Provider to join their Endocrine team. This role focuses on providing general care to patients aged 18 and above, performing tasks within their scope including conducting tests and assisting physicians.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN with specialization as an APRN and a current state Nurse Practitioner license. Two years of experience in Endocrinology or Family Medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients 18 years old and above, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments and diabetes education, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• MSN with specialization as an APRN
• Current state license as an Nurse Practitioner
• BLS upon hire and maintain current
• Two years as nurse practitioner in Endocrinology & Diabetes preferred or two years as a nurse practitioner in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine clinic
• Experience with electronic health record systems

SKILLS

• Lead or co-lead SMA's (shared medical appointments), offering medical assessments within a group setting
