Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is hiring a PRN Endoscopy Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the perioperative setting. This role supports the Surgical Services team and ensures safety and compassionate patient experiences.

Qualified candidates will have an RN license for Texas, BSN preferred, BLS, ACLS/PALS as available, and at least 1 year in Endoscopy. This PRN position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow with a leading health

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required
• BSN is preferred
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Texas RN license within 90 days of hire)
• Current BLS Certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• 1 year of RN clinical experience in Endoscopy required

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique and assist in procedures, prepping patients for surgery
• Assess patient pre-op and verify timeout with perioperative team
• Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability within Surgical Services
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care and promote a positive image of nursing

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will understand aseptic technique and apply the knowledge in assuring maintenance of a sterile field and in assisting in a procedure or prepping a patient for surgery.

• You will demonstrate knowledge of which areas need to be prepped for the different kinds of procedure.

• You will assess the patient prior to surgery and establish that the patient understands the procedure being done and that a “timeout” be done prior to any procedure with the rest of the perioperative team.

• You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.

• You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

What qualifications you will need:
