Overview

Gateway Surgery Center is an outpatient surgical center designed to provide endoscopic procedures in a comfortable and professional environment. This facility provides patients expanded services and convenient scheduling. This is a fast-paced environment focused on achieving high quality and satisfaction outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assists endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures.
• Arranges and inventories sterile setup for operation, and passes items as needed to the endoscopy team.
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the endoscopy room.
• Provides care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve facility goals as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Provides centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility.
• In charge of shipping and receiving, stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas.
• Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current CPR.
• Two years experience in endoscopy preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally.
• Is flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Portrays the facility in a positive light to others.
• Maintains professional conduct and appearance.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, physicians, and other employees.
