Job summary

Trinity Park Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Endoscopy Tech PRN to support GI/Endoscopy procedures under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse. You will help maintain patient safety and facility readiness in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate will have a Surgical Technology program completion, acute care experience (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center), and a valid BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for your patient.
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies.
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens.
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN
