Job summary

Atlantis Outpatient Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support GI and endoscopy procedures. You will prepare procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, ensure equipment works, and keep supplies stocked to maintain a clean, safe environment.

You will assist physicians and nurses during procedures, handle instruments, collect specimens, and follow safety practices. You will communicate with patients with kindness, protect their privacy, and maintain accurate records for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• One year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked.
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself.
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices.
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety.
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping provide safe, effective procedures to patients undergoing GI and endoscopy procedures. Your careful work preparing equipment and maintaining a clean, well-organized environment will help protect patients and empower caregivers to deliver on our shared mission to improve more lives in more ways.
