Job summary

GDIT in Arlington, VA is seeking a Platform Engineering Team Lead to drive end-user computing platforms across the federal customer environment. You will set technical direction, manage platform roadmaps, and collaborate with security, engineering, OEM vendors, and application owners to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

This role requires ITIL certification, 10+ years in IT, and hands-on experience with Intune, Windows 11, VDI, Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft 365, and EDR tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Alternatively, 4 additional years of applicable experience.
• ITIL 4 or ITIL 5 certification is a customer requirement to be considered for this role.
• 5+ years diverse IT experience across Microsoft Intune and Windows 11.
• Experience with Virtual Desktop environments and Defender for Endpoint.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps and CrowdStrike EDR.
• End-user device engineering and support; Wintel hardware.
• Cloud technologies and SaaS solutions; managed services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the platform engineering team for end-user OS engineering and image management.
• Own roadmaps, coordinate with vendors and stakeholders, ensure secure services.
• Drive modernization, automation, and lifecycle management across devices.
• Provide Tier 3 support and collaborate with customer teams.
