Job summary

Factory is looking for a hands-on web designer who loves to build. You will own the design and development of Factory's website, from concept to production code and updates that follow. You'll shape how people encounter autonomous software engineering and understand what's possible.

Working with Design, Marketing, and Engineering, you’ll keep the site moving with frequent launches, experiments, and improvements while ensuring accessibility and fast performance across browsers.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building production websites with a live portfolio.
• Excellent typography, layout, composition, and interaction design.
• Proficiency in Figma; ability to move between design, prototyping and code.
• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript; experience with modern frontend frameworks like React/Next.js.
• Experience with web animation and motion; expert timing and easing feel.
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance.
• Ability to translate open briefs into implemented work with quick iterations.
• Experience using AI tools to prototype and refine outputs.
• Bonus: familiarity with GSAP, Motion, WebGL, or 3D/animation tools. Include shipped work links.

Responsibilities

• Own Factory's website end to end from concept to production and iterations.
• Design and build product pages, campaign landing pages, launch experiences.
• Create and implement motion, animation, and interactions including transitions and demos.
• Evolve visual language and reusable components for rapid page production.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product to tell clear, explorative stories.
• Ship frequent content updates; maintain existing site with care.
• Ensure responsive, accessible, and fast experiences across devices and browsers.
